Whether you need to pay a friend for dinner or send money to a loved one, you can now do so in real time with PayID. This means that payments are processed instantly, without having to wait hours, or in some cases, days, for payments to be processed.

Let's get started!

A PayID is an address for real time payments. Set a PayID with something easy to remember, like your mobile number or email address. Once linked to a financial account of your choice, simply share your PayID with friends, family and colleagues instead of your BSB and account number.

With PayID, you can send and receive payments with unprecedented ease, convenience and confidence. Australian Military Bank offers mobile number, email address and if applicable, your business ABN number as your unique identifiers.

How do I create my PayID?

You can create your PayID via Online Banking. In Internet Banking, simply login and go to 'my settings' > select 'my contact details' > select 'PayID'. In Mobile Banking, launch the app and go to settings > PayID > Create PayID.

How do I de-register my PayID?

You can de-register your PayID by logging into Online Banking. In mobile and internet banking, go to Settings > PayID > de-register PayID.

Can I register my mobile number as a PayID with multiple banks/accounts?

No. A single PayID, such as your mobile number, can only be registered with a single bank, to one account. An alternative PayID, such as an email address or ABN, can be registered with another financial institution, or to another account.

Can I register a PayID and link it to my joint account?

Yes. Joint personal account holders can link their own mobile number as a PayID to an eligible joint account.

Can I transfer my existing PayID to Australian Military Bank?

Yes. To transfer your existing PayID, contact the financial institution that your PayID is linked to, to submit a PayID transfer request. Once you’ve submitted your transfer request, simply log in to Australian Military Bank Intenet or Mobile Banking and follow the prompts to create your PayID.

Am I alerted regarding any changes to my account regarding PayID?

Yes. We have established specific alerts to let you know if a PayID has been registered or de-registered to your account.

Are there limits regarding payments via PayID?

Yes. You can increase your daily PayID Payment limit to $10,000. A maximum transaction limit is set at $1,000 per transaction.

What contact details are available to register against my PayID enabled Australian Military Bank accounts?

Both your nominated phone number and email address are available to register for PayID.

Do I need to update my mobile application to access PayID?

Yes. An update to your existing Australian Military Bank app will be available from the AppStore and PlayStore from 1 October 2019. If you have set your device to update your apps automatically, no action is required. However, if you manually update your mobile apps, you will need to do this from 1 October to take avail of PayID. Your existing app will still work if you do not download the new update – however, you’ll be unable to register for PayID and facilitate PayID payments. For assistance with updating your mobile apps, please see the following help guides from Apple and Google:

How do I know if an NPP payment has been rejected and the reason for it?

If members click on the transaction via IB or MB, they will see a debit and then a credit. If members click the transaction, the description will note the reject reason.

What if I’ve processed a payment and it’s been reversed as displayed on my transaction listing?

If you notice a payment has been reversed, you’ll find there was an error on the receiving bank’s end in verifying the account details noted in the transaction. Please check the corresponding Bank’s account number and reattempt.

What if I’ve checked and the correct account details that were inputted into my payment?

This may be because the receiving bank does not accept NPP payments to the account and in which case, Australian Military Bank will take care of this by automatically directing the payment outward to the corresponding bank via the direct entry service and not via NPP.
